Rimrock Corporation will be presenting on the latest development in finishing technology, ABB’s new “Force Control”. This innovative approach to finishing uses a six axis force transducer with customized software to maintain a constant force throughout the entire deburring path. In addition, the operator has the ability to manually move the robot, virtually eliminating the need for joystick teaching.

The presentation reviews recent research findings on the effects of utilizing a variable frequency drive on a production muller. By utilizing a variable frequency drive, high quality molding sand was prepared in a reduced cycle time. The presentation examines the mulling concept and discusses the importance of proper green sand preparation to achieve consistent sand properties.
