about the washington chapter

The Washington Chapter was established in 1946. Consisting of a Board of Directors to manage it, the Chapter has been very successful in supporting its members - both corporate and individual - as well as providing resources for education, training at all levels, and the very latest information on modern techniques in the foundry industry.

The Chapter has always been at the forefront in bringing its members the very best in education, as well as multiple seminars and training with some of the most experienced educators and speakers in the foundry industry.

Regular meetings are held for members, and often feature speakers of renown from within the industry.

Perhaps the most important highlight of the Chapter's modern day calendar is the ability to host and present what has often been called "the best regional conference in the USA."

The Pacific Northwest Regional Conference is an annual event and cycles between the Washington, Oregon and British Columbia Chapters, returning to each Chapter every three years. The Washington Chapter has become very adept at organizing and presenting their conference - usually at the Red Lion Hotel in downtown Seattle. They are able to secure deep hotel discounts for attending delegates at the Red Lion.

A full three-day program is always assured with multiple choices of seminars, training courses and workshops to suit all needs, and conducted by some of the finest people in the foundry industry.

Entertainment is always looked forward to for the final day finale, and some well known names have performed at their conferences over the years.

The Chapter's goals of educating its members, advancing the foundry industry, and sharing the camaraderie of common knowledge and goals has remained steadfast to this day.
